Jan. 11,2017 3rd Period Is being a celebrity worth all of the stress? I don't think all of the stress is worth making millions. Fame and fortune is not worth all of the stress that goes along with it. I wouldn't want to be famous because you wouldn't even be able to leave your house without it being a big deal. You couldn't even do the little things such as going to the mall or walking your dog down the sidewalk without somebody taking pictures or staring at you. When people are taking pictures of you when you're famous those pictures get tweeted out or Instagrammed. If I was famous I wouldn't want all of those pictures of me getting on people's snapchat, Instagram, facebook, or even twitter. Fame and Fortune is not worth all of the stress that goes with it. Life on the stage is different from everyday life at home. Famous people can't so much as walk their dog or tie their shoes without being gawked at, photographed, tweeted about, or Instagrammed. Being famous may seem like a cakewalk to you, but it really isn’t. Some famous people get depressed and some do drugs because of the job that they have. According to Can fame make you happy, Beyonce said "that though she likes attention when she’s onstage, she’d be happier if she "cut it off" when she's not performing and just live her life." Lawrence says "Just stepping outside my door gives me anxiety." Beyonce loves attention while on stage, but she doesn’t want all of the attention when she isn’t on stage. Money isn’t the most important thing in life. According to Can fame make you happy, “Jennifer Lawrence earns more money from one movie than most people make in a lifetime. Plus, she gets amazing perks, like free clothes from top designers, front-row seats at prestigious award shows, and trips around the world.” Just because you have a ton of money doesn’t mean you are anymore better than the normal people in our society. Some people’s life doesn’t revolve around money like celebrities lives do. A person could make all the money in the world and not be happy, but if you like what your job is and make a lot of money than that’s a different story. According to Can fame make you happy, “Clearly, not all stars crumble under the pressures of fame. Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Will Smith, and Justin Timberlake—all of whom became famous as teens—seem to be doing fine.” It may seem cool to make a ton of money as soon as you get out of school. If you really look at it when you have all that money when you’re young then you get into drugs and alcohol like Justin Bieber did. Young stars think it is cool to follow in older rappers footsteps and do a bunch of drugs. When you think about it in the long run it is just going to affect what your future holds. Fame and Fortune is not worth all of the stress that goes with it. If I were to be famous, I don’t think I could take all the stress that most of these famous people do. The world doesn’t revolve around money like some famous people think it does. Famous rappers say that life on stage is different than life off the stage. Some famous people want to just cut off the attention when they are off stage.
