1.) Argument - Noun - an exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one.
1a.) Last year our 7th grade english class had to write a argumentative essay, but we had to have text evidence to back up what we wrote. 1b.) 2.) Cite - Verb - quote (a passage, book, or author) as evidence for or justification of an argument or statement, especially in a scholarly work. 2a.) For our argumentative essay we had cite evidence, but it had to be straight from the text. 2b.) 3.) Passive voice - Verb - when the subject of the sentence is acted on by the verb. 3a.) Our class looked up passive voice, but nobody understood. 3b.) 4.)Personification - Noun - the attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something nonhuman, or the representation of an abstract quality in human form. 4a.) Our class uses personification in English when we talk about figurative language, but it is pretty difficult to compare something that's not human to human characteristics. 4b.) 5.) Point of view - Noun - a particular attitude or way of considering a matter. 5a.) Our class talked about the point of view in the book Flowers for Algernon, but nobody understood what Mrs. Stoneham was talking about. 5b.) 1.)A)Elastic potential energy (Adjective) - energy stored in any object or material that is bent, stretched, or compressed. B.) Newton - the unit in the metric system used to measure force. Force Field - an area around an object where an object can influence another object with out touching it. A magnetic field is an example of this. Inertia - how hard it is to get something moving, stop a moving object, or change the direction of a moving object. Normal force - a equal but opposite force that pushes back when you stand, sit, or push on a surface so you do not sink through that surface.
